Bow Tie (Takaramono / Ume-murasaki)

This is one of Japan’s traditional lucky patterns, decorated with auspicious designs such as the magic mallet, invisible straw raincoat, and treasure key. The color name, Ume-murasaki, is believed to be relatively new, as it appears in dye sample books from the late Edo to early Meiji periods.
